Extreme Dedication
It's one thing to be dedicated to band and your music. However there comes a point in high school when you realize that you've been in band for so long and it becomes second nature. I would like to call it "extreme dedication issues" instead of using the word "obsessed". You know it's an extreme dedication issue when you have rarely anything to talk about besides band. Even when you are with your non band friends somehow band always finds it's way into the conversation. It's annoying because you get so focused on band and music that you can't concentrate on your homework.Another problem is when you go crazy not being in step with the person you are walking next to. Blame marching band. Then there is the fact that randomly you will start singing one of your band tunes, no matter what you do there is ALWAYS some sort of song from marching or symphony band running through your head. It takes a lot out of you if you are truly dedicated. It can be physically and mentally exhausting. Thank you Jesus I am not a drum major. I would go crazy. Props to them. This is exactly what I call extreme dedication issues. On the bright side being dedicated isn't really a bad thing.....

Morning practice at band camp. 6 hours of marching, 2 of music rehearsal a day. That's what you call dedication and hard work.

The video below is just me and my friend in our dorm at band camp.....it was only the first day and I started to go insane. Eastern turned out pretty great...and a band camp I will never forget.
